Notes

Acclaimed indie-pop singer-songwriter Hannah Georgas crafts textured pop songs with lyrics about heartbreak & change, coupled with incredibly catchy hooks. "Right Love" is a B-side from the sessions for her 2020 album ALL THAT EMOTION, created with Aaron Dessner, a musician acclaimed both for his work as an artist with The National and Big Red Machine, and his work as a producer with Taylor Swift, Mumford & Sons, Sharon Van Etten and This Is The Kit.

Hannah says of the song: "I recorded 'Right Love' at Long Pond with Aaron Dessner and Jon Low while we were working on songs off my album All That Emotion. We decided to not include it on the album because we felt it had a bit of a different feel. I thought it would be nice to release it in the summertime (feels kinda summer-y) while I've been working away on new music. It was inspired by feelings that come up when you meet someone new that you have a connection with. It all feels exciting and fresh. You want to be in the moment and not get too wrapped up in things, but there's a small part of you that wonders if it could be something more than a fling."

Hannah Georgas released her Aaron Dessner-produced LP All That Emotion in 2020 on Dessner's label Brassland, as well as Toronto indie stalwart Arts & Crafts. The album was nominated for Adult Alternative Album of the Year at this year’s JUNOs, garnering Georgas her 5th JUNO nomination. Though long a favourite here in her native Canada with a devoted international audience, the album was the most critically-acclaimed release of her career to date, earning a wave of positive attention from outlets like The Guardian, Pitchfork, NPR, The New York Times, FADER, Stereogum, New York Magazine, Consequence of Sound and Paste among many others.
