Notes

"As soon as I wrote 'It’s All Been The Same,' I knew that it was not a song that I should sing. Though I tried anyway, it felt too heavy. It needed an effortless strength and presence of voice and I thought, hey, Mina Tindle! I’ve known Mina for some years now and I’ve always admired the beauty of her voice and the musicality of her singing. I knew that she would be the perfect lead for 'It’s All Been The Same,' which also benefits greatly from taking on, through her voice and delivery, a female perspective. It’s a song about fairness and place and while neither is a fixed entity, we can assume that we will benefit ourselves and each other greatly by facing the world with these questions."

LYRICS
Pause to go back
from how we got out front.
We’re dumb struck patients
in hair like concord jets.
But where’s the fairness?
I’ll pass it along when questions ask.
And then souls searchers
can rest in clean mud.
And we won’t bother, won’t bother the world.
Long distance runners, we’ll trade our dusty mirrors for the paper walls.
It’s all been the same.
It’s all been insane.
It’s all been the same.
But where’s the fairness?
I’ll pass it along when questions ask.
And then soul searchers
can bathe in clean mud.
And we won’t bother, won’t bother the world.
Long distance runners, we’ll trade our dusty mirrors for the paper walls.
And we won’t bother, won’t bother the world.
Punched up and fondled, we’ll trade our dusty mirrors for the paper walls.
It’s all been the same.
It’s all been insane.
It’s all been the same.
