Clogs Emerge From Hibernation With BAM Show

As reported on Brooklyn Vegan, Clogs will re-emerge in 2009. In addition to their show tonight at Middlebury College, the band has scheduled a February 26th performance with Bell Orchestre, titled Shuffle Mode, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The show's format involves the two groups performing alongside the Brooklyn Philharmonic in a collaborative attempt to blend classical and popular music. Each band will play three to five original songs; the Brooklyn Philharmonic will then perform established classical works that share sonic parallels to the bands' originals, creating a musical dialogue that highlights the similarities between the popular and classical spheres.

As for Brooklyn Vegan's allusion to a new Clogs album in 2009? All we can say is that it is in the works. We'll announce more concrete details here as soon as they're established.
